"54-46 was my number!!!"

This Is England (de 2006) escrito e dirigido pelo diretor Shane Meadows é um filme que conta a história de um grupo de skinheads ingleses na década de 80, mostrando perfeitamente como a cultura skinhead esteve intimamente ligada com a cultura musical negra jamaicana e como a infiltração de grupos nacionalistas de extrema direita vieram deturpar todo esse estilo de vida.

Além de ser um grande filme, This Is England tem outro trunfo fortíssimo na manga... A trilha sonora é um show à parte! Uma coletânea de Rock, Ska, Soul, Rocksteady e Reggae de altíssima qualidade! Confesso que fiquei emocionado quando ouvi "54-46 was my number" do Toots & The Maytals logo nos créditos iniciais do filme. Da mesma forma The Smiths nos créditos finais deixa coração apertado. É isso, baixem a trilha sonora, assistam o filme, é muito bom!
